1 of 257 built for 1985. 5.0 EFI, automatic, Recaro seats, power steering, power disc brakes, power windows, power locks, AC, cruise control and brand new AM/FM CD player with 4 brand new speakers (everything works).

Car also has a newer top. Car has 4 brand new tires. I have changed oil and filter, flushed the trans, flushed the radiator, flushed the rear end and installed new shocks and struts.

Car has 41,600 original miles on it, and is in very nice condition. I was told that this is car no#2, and that the Ford family had it 1st before being released to Ritchie Lincoln Mercury in Sterling Hgts, MI. Ritchie LM was owned by Kid Rocks parents. They owned the car many years before selling it to one of there best friends. She owned the car for 14 years before selling it to me. She is the one that gave me the back ground on the car.

Overall, this is a very nice car. That said it is not perfect, there is a chip on the windshield (doesn't prevent passing inspection) and the paint is very nice and shiny, but not perfect. 1988 ASC McLaren MUSTANG

Limited Edition no. 528 out of 1015 cars for 1988 (Only 2678 total made). Repainted a gorgeous Atlantic Blue, which looks great from 10 feet. (Some light scratches and small depressions are visible in the panels) Two-tone blue leather seats and blue canvas convertible top that stows in seconds beneath a Mercedes-like metal tonneau. Ford Motor Company commissioned American Sunroof Company for the conversion of the popular 5.0 Mustang LX into a handsome euro-style two-seater.  This car is fully optioned as it left the factory, with four speed automatic, AC, cruise control, fog lights, power windows, power lumbar seats, power door locks, power trunk, power fuel lid and convertible top releases, remote mirrors and original Ford six-speaker stereo. Except for the seatbelts, which retract too slowly, all switches and all systems on this vehicle operate as they should.  

Thousands of dollars have been spent on bringing this original garage-find back to its former glory. Like-new Toyo Proxes tires are mounted on American Racing wheels, better looking than the factory wheels and the only non-original equipment on the car.  ASC also lowered the factory springs by one inch. The car really hugs the road, with a firm yet civilized ride.  The seats are very comfortable and there's plenty of leg room for a 6 footer.  It is a pleasure to drive this car on a country road with the top down and the dual exhaust playing its power melody. The completely stock High Output 5.0 makes 225 horsepower and 300 lbs of torque and the engine has just received a major tune-up and needs nothing. The rebuilt transmission shifts swiftly and positively. With an overdrive 4th gear, the tachometer rarely reads over 2000 rpm, and MPG is in the low to mid-20s.  At least until the accelerator is forcefully depressed.   Then the new cat-back Original Equipment chambered exhaust system sounds like a wild beast has been unleashed and the car leaps blindingly ahead. 

Ensuring that the new owner will not have to grapple with maintenance issues anytime in the near future, the car has received not only the major tune-up that included new sparkplugs and plug wires, new air oil and fuel filters, and a fresh oil change, but also received  a new water pump, a new alternator, valve cover gaskets, and a recharged AC system.  And various hard-to-find switches and trim items have been replaced, including the all important but prone-to-failure power actuator that releases the rear of the convertible top.  This motor has been rebuilt, and the nylon helical gear inside that always breaks has been replaced with a steel gear that never will.  Documenting all the work performed is a folder of receipts.   

This rare Mustang gets attention and is surprisingly smooth, tight and powerful.  It drives superbly. It has 90,000+ actual miles, a Portland, Oregon car with no accident history and a rust-free body and frame  One previous elderly owner since 2002.  Stored for the last ten years, now ready for the road. Clean title, clean Carfax, clean emissions test report and the license is tagged until 2013.  A collectable American sports roadster priced to sell at $7999.

1986 ASC McLaren Capri

I've had a 86 ASC Capri for a couple years that I've been trying to get around to restoring. I wanted to build it into what I want, but my time is more valuable now to me than money so I've decided to just buy the 5.0 that I want already finished. So the Capri must go sadly.
Bought it from down south and had it trucked up two years ago. The car runs and drives, I drove it a few hundred miles last year. Last summer I put a reman World Class T-5 in it. The car has new valve seals and an updated 87-93 upper and lower GT intake. The motor still smokes though, could be from sitting for years before I owned it. The previous owner had no idea what it was, for 5 years he had it sitting in storage to refurbish it at some point. The rings may reseat with drive time. The engine runs strong, has full BBK headers/off road exhaust, with Flowmasters. 3:73 gears, aluminum driveshaft, subframe connectors. Brand new KYB struts and shocks.
Just a few weeks ago I converted the front end to SN-95 spindles with new pads rotors hoses. I have the axles and drums for the 5 lug conversion on the rear, haven't been able to get the time for install yet.
I do have pictures of the car. The body and interior are fair. It's missing all the original ground effects. The interior is original but worn. The car basically is a project car with great bones. Very minimal surface rust, a spot by the right quarter window and a little near the edge of the bumper cover. Underneath the car is in great shape.
The car was a full option ASC, white with orange stripe. The original wheels were gray I believe, but missing as well. I have 96 GT 16" wheels that go with the car now. The dash plaque and ASC steering horn cover are intact. The original ASC spoiler remains too. The car is number: 008.

I purchased this car in 1989, as the second owner for 25 years.  It is number 26 of 235 off the line. 

This car has always been garage-kept.  It presently has 52,000 miles and comes with new tires, fresh paint, all new rubber seals, a new B&M racket shifter, plus a custom carbon fiber center console and dash with auto meter gauges.  The Recaro leather sets are in excellent condition, no rips or tears, and very little signs of wear.  The car runs great with no problems.  The 5.0 L. H.O. engine has an automatic transmission.  The Flow-master exhaust sounds great.  It also has a Jensen stereo/CD with 8" bazooka tube and separate 300 watt amplifier,  Sony Xplode speakers.  The top is in very good condition....was replaced in 2006.  The economy sucks and I want a new toy.   

This car has been advertised elsewhere and can be removed at any time.

The original paint job still looks good, the top is original and is on good condition, taillight covers are in good condition, but are starting to haze, power latch release for the top works. 18' Saleen wheels with BF Goodrich drag radials on the rear and matching on the front.

Seats and carpet are in good condition, has cold AC, XM radio with remote control with tweeters hidden in the air vents. Late 1988 McLaren with mass air flow. 16,000 miles. Beautiful car with
striking black and tan color scheme and gold McLaren wheels. 5 Speed

original Ford AM/FM Tape. A few small nit picks: the usual McLaren crack in
the interior top windshield trim piece. A couple of pebble nicks in the
right front ground effect, a small flaw in the convertible top on the lower
